Cross Wedge Rolling
Cross wedge rolling is a preforming process where the round dies are rotating in the same direction and a billet is rolled in placed between the rotating dies. The billet spins as the dies make one revolution and the contour on the die forces the billet material into the desired axi-symmetric preform shape.
A variation on this is where the dies are linear instead of round and they move past each other while rolling the billet between them.
